Song Title Challenge

music

I have decided to start a SONG TITLE CHALLENGE. This will hopefully be a regular feature – depending on interest and/or site traffic.

The challenge is to encourage my readers to collaboratively create a list of as many song titles as possible that sum up a given theme that regularly occurs in my blog.

In the comment section below, please write the name or lyrics of a song related to the chosen theme – make sure you include the artist.

As I am due to publish my 12th post in my series FFOMC (future father of my children) tomorrow evening – I decided to chose the following theme to get everyone started:

PARENTHOOD

Just to be clear – you do not need to actually be a parent in order to respond and it does not matter if the prospect of parenthood; terrifies you, intrigues you or inspires you. All you have to do is find a song title or lyrics that sum up your opinion of the topic.

Throughout the week some good friends have made suggestions but they are not followers and are reluctant to post. So it falls on me to share their insight:

Friend 1: Has just discovered she is having a fifth child to add to her ever expanding clan, has selected – “Oops I did it again” by Britney Spears

Friend 2: NEVER wants to have a family and has opted for – “Run for the Hills” by Iron Maiden

Friend 3: Is trying to get pregnant but is struggling to conceive has chosen – “Somewhere over the rainbow” by Judy Garland

Hopefully you get the idea – Happy posting!

“You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When the skies are grey
You’ll never know dear
How much I love you
So please don’t take
My sunshine
Away”

Not actually written about a parent child relationship but does sum up my feelings and was a song I used to sing to her when she was a baby.
🙂

Love that song! Although being from good OLE NORN IRON it resonates with people of our age that are more melancholy!

I am also adding “This is the moment” from the musical version of Jekyll and Hyde
